Types of brand personification on the Czech market

This bachelor thesis deals with types of brand personification on the Czech market. The aim of the thesis is to describe different models of personification and their division based on the AMOP structure. The thesis serves to summarize the basic information on this topic and compare it with the actual advertisements that we could or still can see on the Czech market. This summary has been created in order to bring together the various theories contained in the literature, as this topic, despite its great application in practice, is not given much attention and a substantive summary of this information is basically non-existent. The knowledge contained in the theoretical part is reflected in the practical part, as some of the questions for the unstructured interviews with practitioners were designed so that the respondents respond to the content of the theoretical part with their knowledge and opinions that they have developed over years of practice and use of brand personification. The responses of the practitioners are compared to see the agreements and disagreements in their views.

Devoted Soldier of Eclecticism

My bachelor’s thesis Devoted soldier of eclecticism is a series of paintings and objects. The main theme of exhibition which should be based on these artifacts is a polemic about meaning of metamodernism in contemporary art. Conceptual approach to artistic reference is essential for all pieces. I am often depicting mundane objects (boots, pigeons, air baloons) enriched by philosophical or spiritual meanings. To create a tension between simple and metaphysical, I am using simple compositions and naive painting techniques. There is usually some concrete situation or polemic happening in my paintings. If paintings would be philosophical concepts, objects would represent how human beings (anthropomorphised swords) approach these often complicated phenomena.

The work finds out various methods of animal illustrations within general illustrator approaches, it gets around of selected principal representatives of the Czech illustration. It looks at current production of books for children in their positive and negative aspects, it follows the efforts to look after the "belles-lettres" as well as unvalued production connected with irresponsibility towards the children's readers. It maps, on the background of magnificent books about animals, the current illustrators trying to present creatively ambitious illustration. Meaning, Role and Function of Dog in Society and Family

This paper deals with the relationship between a man and a dog. This topic was chosen because of its up-to-date nature in the Czech society reflected in the number of owned dogs and their popularity as pets. The specific aim of the thesis is the deeper understanding of meanings and roles attributed to dogs in society from the point of view of my respondents - seniors. The view of animals in the society is based on the theory of social constructivism, according to which the meanings of phenomena, and hence of animals in the society, are created during social interactions. The research was conducted on the basis of participating observations and narrative interviews with randomly selected seniors. In the theoretical basis of the thesis, the relationship between people and animals in different times and societies is emphasized, highlighting a different approach to them in today's society. Classification of animals in the society is further explained and most frequent categories are presented. This classification concerns wild animals, farm animals, and pets, of which dogs are the most popular ones. One of the findings is the importance attributed to dogs in the society. Figure portrayal in Czech painting of the second third of the 19 century in European context

In my Ph.D. Thesis I suggest methodological approach to the figural painting of the middle of the 19 century, creation of the Czech painter Josef Manes in particular. In this period figural artists still learned to copy historic models in both academic and non-academic institutions. But the figure starts to be also presented as identifying element of the society, newly establishing nations in particular. Also emancipation of artists and their effort for conceptual expression (self-representation) is reflected in the presented figural form. Painting of the European late romanticism is characterised by adoptions of Michelangelo's and manieristic way of portrayal of human body. Thus there is a remarkable shift from so far popular classical Raffaelo's renaissance figure. For Josef Manes, usually only graphic patterns were available. In this thesis I also analyse Manes's anthropomorfisations and his tendencies to deform anatomic proportions of depicted figures. I show that these features of Manes's art have social, mental and formal background. "We drag the cart of capitalism on and on": Ethnography of factory production

This thesis presents the main results of a five-month ethnographic research project in a global factory in the Czech Republic. It is focused on three topics. Due to a number of ethical dilemmas that accompanied the research, the first part examines ethics in anthropology, both the instruments of the institutionalization of professional ethics and "ethics in practice". As a strategy for dealing with ethical dilemmas the thesis aims at a reflexive approach, as proposed by Guillemin and Gillam (2004) not only to ensure rigor in research methodology, but also as a form of "morally adequate research work". The second research focus is the production line. The line makes sense - that is, produces stuff - only when people and machines interconnect. Symmetrical analysis juxtaposes humans and machines and explores the dynamics of agency as it shifts the borders between people and machines and the characteristics that each takes from the other. The last part of the thesis presents the factory as an actor in the labor market. Through the analysis of economic and organizational factors as well as workers" stories and interpretations and regional authorities" accounts, the final part tries to explain the perception of the factory as a stable and relatively solid employer.
